ITS 8.00am on a Monday morning and a nationwide haulier has a combination MOT test booked in our ATF for a 3-axle tractor unit and trailer. On arrival, he rushes into the office and says ‘I need to pull the trailer test, the ABS lights just come on’.
Our admin team quickly came up with a solution to enable the haulier to have his trailer fault rectified and MOT tested. We organised the workshop diagnostic technician to be ready and as soon as the vehicle was tested, connected up and traced the issue to a defective ABS socket. This was quickly replaced with a new one from our stock and the ABS fault was cured. The trailer was then presented for its MOT test and passed.
